10,323 Teachers : Final hearing in SC tomorrow

The Supreme Court will take a final call to the bunch of petitions pertaining to services of 10,323 terminated teachers on October 24 next.

A bunch of petitions filed by Debasish Paul Choudhary, state government and Tanmoy Nath clubbed together, will come up for final hearing before a division Bench of Justice UU Lalit and Justice DY Chandrachud in the Court No-12

The teachers were sacked in December last year by the apex court but allowed to continue as ad-hoc appointment of the teachers following repeated persuasion of earlier Left Front Government.

However the newly sworn BJP-IPFT Government moved to Supreme Court seeking further extension of their service for two years.
