16,144 nos cases have been disposed in special Lok Adalat

Special Lok Adalat at the initiative of Tripura State Legal Services Authority is organized today on 08.10.2023.

The Special Lok Adalat is organized in every judicial station of Tripura and total 23,283 nos. of cases including Traffic Challan cases, cases under Tripura Excise Act, Tripura Gambling Act, Tripura Police Act, Negotiable Instrument Act and other criminal compounding offences were taken up.

Total 16,144 nos. of cases have been disposed of in this Special Lok Adalat and revenue collection by way of settlement is Rs.34,23,840/-.

The rate of disposal in this Special Lok Adalat is 69.33% with reference to the total cases taken up in this Lok Adalat, and thereby total pendency of cases in District Judiciary has been reduced to the extent of more than 27% by this drive.
