17th Regional-level Saras Mela to start from January 17

The 10-day 17th Regional-level Saras Mela going to start at the International Mela campus in Hapana from January 17, 2022 till January 26, 2022.

A meeting of Cultural sub committee was held at the conference hall of Tripura Constituent Assembly on December 28.

The meeting was presided over by the Speaker of the assembly Ratan Chakraborty. In the meeting he emphasized on celebrating the 17h Regional Saras Mela with pomp and gaiety on the occasion of 50″ Tripura Statehood Day, 75 Azadi Ka Amnt Mahotsav and North-eastern Cultural festival.

According to the decision taken in the meeting, artistes from the state and outside the state will be performing in the 10-day Regsional Saras Mela.

Other dignitaries present in the meeting were Director ormation &Cultural Affairs department Ratan Biswas, Senior Deputy Magistrate Debashish Das, Principal of S.D Burman Memorial Musse University Tripti Wapte, Vice-Chairman of State-Level Cultural Advisory Committee Subhash Deh, Director of DRDA department Pintu Lal Saha, representatives of TRIM and other officials
