Security arrangements tightened to ensure peaceful observance of the festivities of Durga Puja in Agartala city and other parts of the state.
Huge troops of police personnel and paramilitary forces will be deployed across the state and 9250 of security forces, comprising 5120 TSR and 4100 police will be deployed throughout the state to maintain law and order and to regulate traffic movement.
DGP said that the important places will be kept under CCTV surveillance and CCTV will be fixed at many locations all over the state including important locations of Agartala.
119 CCTV cameras were installed across the state including in some puja pandal and 35 in important locations in Tripura.
DGP said, this year as per available information Durga Puja is likely to be celebrated at 2459 places or pandals in entire state, which was 2527 in last year. This includes 869 Durga pujas in urban areas and 1590 in rural areas, which was 1569 in previous year in rural areas of the state.
