Today Six member team of AICC led by former union minister and MP Jairam Ramesh and five other top AICC leaders during their visit to Northeastern states has visited Tripura.
They arrived in Agartala on Tuesday morning.

Addressing press meet at Congress Bhawan Agartala former union minister and MP Jairam Ramesh said that Food Security Act was implemented in 2012, and today in Tripura people are dying due to starvation despite Food Security Act.
Former union minister and MP Jairam Ramesh also added in his statement in press meet that “Its a crime and violation of human rights, whereas citizens of the country are forced to die due to starvation”.
Four people have died so far in Bru relief camps in North Tripura district, which a forum for displaced Brus claims to be a result of “starvation”.
Displaced Brus from Mizoram have claimed that four members of the community, including a four-month-old infant, had died of starvation at the refugee camps in Tripura after the Centre stopped providing free rations to them.
Three persons are admitted to a hospital and the Bru refugees continued to stage road blockade in an area in Tripura bordering Mizoram since Thursday, demanding resumption of free ration and cash-dole to them.
Former union minister and MP Jairam Ramesh also demanded immediate supply of ration inside Reang refugee camps.
