Maharashtra: Ajit Pawar is deputy CM, Aaditya Thackeray takes oath as minister

Ajit Pawar took oath as deputy chief minister in Maharashtra government on Monday during the expansion of the cabinet.

Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray became the first member of the Thackeray family to take oath as a minister in the state cabinet.
Along with Aditya, Congress’ Amit Deshmukh, NCP leader Nawab Malik, senior Congress leader and former chief minister Ashok Chavan took oath as ministers in Maharashtra government.

The Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government led by Uddhav Thackeray was formed on November 28.
The state Cabinet currently has six ministers, besides the chief minister.
