Unlike previous Govt, Our Govt doesn’t judge political colours for providing facilities
among people: Hon’ble CM
The state government, as per the parameters of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, already achieved its target of providing houses in urban areas and the works in rural areas are also progressing on the same direction.
The state government is providing houses to all irrespective of political colours to fulfil the mission of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi of providing houses to all by 2020.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Biplab Kumar Deb said this after visiting various areas of Jolaibari in Santir Bazar under South Tripura district today.
Speaking to media, Shri Deb said, “the development activities in various rural areas were stalled and the common people were deprived of government facilities for long 25 years. But, the new government is now working to ensure development across the state.”
As part of his visit to Jolaibari today, the Hon’ble Chief Minister stressed on creating fisheries project in 3.5-km long Naradpara lake located at Koyaifang village.
“The state government will invest around Rs. 200 crore for fisheries project under Fifteenth Finance Commission so that the state becomes self-sufficient in fish production.
Naradpara lake can be utilized for fisheries project through cooperative—it will not only generate incomes to local families but also increase fish production,” Shri Deb said.
While visiting Kowaifang, the Hon’ble Chief Minister interacted with the local villagers to get their feedbacks and opinions on various issues.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister accompanied by local MLA Sankar Roy also met the family of Supriya Mog who was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her hostel at Baikhora around two years ago.
The Chief Minister while visiting deceased’s house at Birmantapara under Birendranagar ADC village said that he had asked the authorities concerned for conducting investigation onto the case for third time so that the mystery behind the death incident comes to light.
Meanwhile, the Hon’ble Chief Minster assured the local villagers of fulfilling their demands for road, drinking water facilities, electricity connection and houses under PMAY.
He also assured of expediting renovation of roads under Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojana. The Hon’ble Chief Minister also gave assurance on construction of a bridge in the locality.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister also visited a TSR camp and interacted with the jawans at Kuwaifang and visited the residence of Dhananjoy Tripura at Srikantabari ADC Village.
Apart from this, the Hon’ble Chief Minister attended Gouranga Mahaprabhu Kirtan and Mahotsav at Chandrapur Bazar at the morning.
On the other hand, the Hon’ble Chief Minister today visited house of Shri Akhil Debnath, retired government employee, at Dhaleswar area and interacted with the family members along with local people. He also had lunch at Akhil Debnath’s residence.
