He was speaking at the loan distribution ceremony and blood donation camp organized by SC Cooperation Development Corporation at Lake Chowmuhani.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister said Tripura received a total of Rs. 134.52 crore from National Corporation at 3 percent interest rates.
“As of now, loans of over Rs. 127.34 crore have already been disbursed as loan among 10,231 beneficiaries for employment generation and more Rs. 34.90 crore would be provided to a number of beneficiaries in one year. Besides, the SC Corporation provides financial assistance to students in 16 categories,” he added.
While giving details, the Hon’ble Chief Minister laid stress on proper utilization of the loan money and asked all the beneficiaries to repay the loan within the stipulated time.
Addressing the gathering, the Hon’ble Chief Minister said the people, who don’t see development in today’s Tripura, are lagging behind.
“The society has changed to a great extent following the change in power of 2018. But the people, who had deprived common people during their 25-year-long rule, didn’t see the change,” he added.
Shri Deb said when he would go to the people before 2023 elections, he would present the ‘model’ of model state.
“The state government will fulfil all promises mentioned in the Vision Document and also work more than it like Atal Jaldhara Mission,” he added.
Shri Deb pointed out that a total of 18 flights (including Agartala- Delhi direct flight) are operated from Tripura which is second highest in the North East Region after Assam. Apart from this, Rajdhani/ Humsafar Express/ DEMU train services are also available now.
He also said that a protocol route (waterways) in Sonamura had also been approved. Besides, he said that the Feni Bridge project would open huge trade and commerce opportunities between North East and Bangladesh.
In today’s programme, loans of Rs. 3crore 25 lakh and 65 thousand were distributed among 122 beneficiaries.
MLA Dr. Dilip Kumar Das, chairman of SC Corporation- Shri Ranjit Das, Khadi Board chairman Shri Rajib Bhattacharjee, Managing Director of SC Corporation- Shri Biplab Das, Secretary to SC Welfare Department- Shri Sahadeb Das and OBC Corporation chairman Shri Tapas Majumder were also present in the programme.
