Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb visited the house of Sub Inspector Durgakumar Hrangkhwal at Debthang, a remote village of Teliamura subdivision and handed over a cheaque of Rs. 10 lakh to his wife- Pancha Laxmi Hrangkhwal.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury, Chairman of Teliamura Municipal Council (TMC) Rupak Sarkar, DM (Khowai) Smitha Mol and SDM, Teliamura Bhaswar Bhattacharjee.
While speaking to the wife of deceased and his family members, the Chief Minister said the government would render all possible helps to them. “Salary will be given to you still the retirement age of slain police officer.
Besides, a government job under die in harness scheme will also be provided to a member of your family”, he told Pancha Laxmi.
On his way back, the Chief Minister also met wife of Mantri Lal Kaipeng who died near Hrangkhwalpara on December 10. He also spoke to son and daughter of the deceased to know their problem.
At last, the Chief Minister interacted with villagers to know their basic needs and asked the officials to solve their problems under available welfare scheme.
