Chief Minister Shri Biplab Kumar Deb, who is now in New Delhi, on Tuesday met Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh and discussed various important matters related to state’s interest.
While holding discussions with the Union Defence Minister, the Chief Minister placed various demands including setting up of one Army School at Mohanpur.
The Chief Minister also highlighted that at present, the state’s youths need to go to other places for taking part in Army recruitment (interview) drives. In this context, he raised demand so that such recruitment drive takes place in Tripura and the youths here get more opportunities to join Army.
After the meeting, the Chief Minister in his social media handler said that the Union Defence Minister had accepted the demands which would be helpful for the people of Tripura.
“On behalf of the people of Tripura, I thank Shri Rajnath Singh ji for accepting our demands which will be very much helpful for the people of Tripura,” the Chief Minister tweeted.
Meanwhile, Shri Biplab Kumar Deb met Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and a number of Union Ministers for several times since he became the Chief Minister.
He placed several demands including special package for ADC and the Centre already accepted various demands for overall development of Tripura.
