Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today accepted the ‘Wash Your Hands’ challenge given by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and posted a video in his twitter handle, within approximately 2 hours.
He has put in the efforts to encourage the people so that they wash their hands frequently for atleast 20 seconds as a precautionary measure against spreading Covid-19 and to keep themselves clean and fit by maintaining hygiene since the entire globe is now facing a threat from Nobel Corona Virus.
In his tweet, the Chief Minister has nominated former Indian Captain & BCCI president- Sourav Ganguly, Tripura’s pride and Olympian Gymnast Padma Shri Dipa Karmakar, Tennis star Somdev Devvarman, Union Textiles Minister Smriti Zubin Irani, Union Minister Babul Supriyo and royal family member Pradyut Kishore Manikya for the challenge.
He also nominated every citizen of Tripura for the same. In the meantime, Union Textiles Minister Smriti Zubin Irani accepted the challenge given by the Chief Minister of Tripura and posted a video in her social media handle.
While appealing the people not to panic, the Chief Minister in his message said, “with awareness and precautions together we can stop spreading COVID-19. Let’s all join hands together to fight the Novel Corona Virus.”
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister is closely monitoring the overall situation. Today also, he had discussions with the Chief Secretary and reviewed the present scenario of Tripura.
He said that there was no need to worry and the State Government had already made all necessary arrangements to prevent spreading of COVID-19.
