The total number of coronavirus cases in India moved higher to 23,077, with 1,684 fresh Covid-19 infections reported in past 24 hours, showed figures released by the health ministry today morning.
Today is the thirty first day of India’s nationwide lockdown, which has been extended till May 3.
4,748 people, who were infected with Covid-19, have been discharged or cured of the virus.
The death toll from coronavirus rose to 718 as 37 casualties reported in 24 hours.

Maharashtra remains the worst affected.
Maharashtra, Delhi and Gujarat have emerged as the States most-affected by COVID-19, together accounting for around 49.5% of India’s cases.
The novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, pandemic has spread across 185 countries and territories.
