Along with other Chief Ministers on Monday Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb also took part in a video conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during which discussions on the latest COVID19 situation were held.
Referring to the country’s battle against COVID19, the Tripura Chief Minister showered praises on the overall role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Taking part in the video conference, Tripura Chief Minister said that his Government was working as per the directives of the PM and Central Government — be it social distancing norms or other guidelines — even though Tripura already became corona free.
It was the fourth video conference of Prime Minister with the Chief Ministers regarding the COVID19 pandemic.
While interacting with the Chief Ministers, the Prime Minister has emphasized on maintaining social distancing norms and extension of lock down.
He also held discussions on strengthening the economic status apart from the fight against COVID19.
In the video conference, a round of discussion was also held with a focus on maintaining strict vigil along the international border.
The discussions also included withdrawal of the countrywide lockdown in a phased manner.
