Two Border Security Force (BSF) jawans tested positive for coronavirus in Tripura on Saturday.
With two fresh cases, the total number of positive patients in the state now stands at four.
Chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb confirmed the new cases and said the jawans are undergoing treatment.
All those who came in contact with the infected jawans have been asked to go into quarantine.
Both the soldiers were deployed at Ambassa unit of BSF in Tripura.
CM Biplab Deb, who also holds the Health said in a tweet: “Two persons from Ambassa (northern Tripura’s Dhalai District) BSF unit found COVID-19 positive. Total positive cases in Tripura stands at four (two already discharged, so active hospital cases two).”

The first two Covid-19 cases in Tripura were reported on April, after a woman who travelled from Assam to Gomati district tested positive for the Covid-19.
