Fresh 22 COVID-19 positive cases reported in Tripura; active cases : 62
Tripura on Wednesday registered 22 more new COVID19 positive cases taking the total to 64.
Confirming this on Wednesday, Tripura Chief minister Biplab Kr Deb said “22 persons from 138th-Bn #BSF Ambassa found #COVID19 POSITIVE today including 18 Male, 1 Female, 3 Children. Total #COVID19 POSITIVE cases in Tripura stands at 64 (2 already discharged, so active cases : 62) Don’t Panic, Govt is working vigilantly.”
Dhalai district, which was a green zone till Saturday, has been declared a red zone.
Two patients, who were detected in the first week of April, have been discharged from the hospitals after their recovery.
The coronavirus case count in India came within touching distance of the half-lakh mark at 49,391.
Over 1,600 people have died due to the virus across the country. The lockdown in India has been extended till May 17
