30 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Tripura on Friday, taking the number of novel coronavirus cases in the state to 118.

Tripura on friday registered 30 more new COVID19 positive cases taking the total to 118.
Confirming this Tripura Chief minister Biplab Kr Deb said”30 persons found COVID19 POSITIVE in Tripura today. 25 persons from 86th-Bn BSF, 4 family members from 138th-Bn BSF & 1 truck driver (Driver of TRO1-AH-1922 detected at Churaibari Checkpost). The driver has been quarintined at Churaibari. Total COVID19 patients in Tripura now stands: 118″.

Tripura Government have decided to convert Agartala’s Bhagat Singh Youth hostel into a 300-bed COVID19 treatment center & it will be under GB hospital’s supervision. Now in Agartala total beds for COVID19 treatment stand at 410 (GB hospital: 80 beds, IGM: 30 beds, Bhagat Singh: 300 beds).
Two patients, who were detected in the first week of April, have been discharged from the hospitals after their recovery.
Confirmed COVID-19 cases in India stand at 56,342.
The death toll from the outbreak in India is at 1,886.
Maharashtra, Gujarat and Delhi have reported the highest number of cases. A massive exercise to evacuate Indians stranded abroad begins today.
