India today crossed the 70,000-mark for Covid-19 cases while the death toll jumped to 2,293 with 87 fatalities in 24 hours.
The active cases in the country stand at 46,008, while those cured are 22,454.
The number of COVID-19 related deaths rose to 2,293 as 87 people passed away in last 24 hours.
Maharashtra confirmed 36 deaths on Monday, taking the total death toll in the state to 868.
Two people tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Tripura on Monday, taking the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state to 150, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in his tweet said ” In a massive COVID19 test among 750 civilian and BSF in Dhalai Dist today, 2 BSF officials were found COVID-19 POSITIVE. All patients are responding well to the treatment. With the blessings of Mata Tripurasundari soon our State will be Corona free”.
