India’s Covid-19 Cases Rise to 74,281, Death Toll at 2,415

With India reporting 122 deaths and 3,525 cases in the last 24 hours, the coronavirus pandemic casualties rose to 2,415 on Wednesday while the total number of infections crossed the 74,000-mark to reach 74,281 including the 24,385 people who have been treated and discharged so far.

COVID-19 cases in India stand at 74,281. The death toll in India due to the outbreak has reached 2,415.

PM Modi addressed the nation yesterday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a Rs 20 lakh crore economic package. He also said that ‘Lockdown 4.0’ will be implemented based on suggestions from the states and details of the same will be announced before May 18.

One more tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Tripura today taking the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state to 151, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said.

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in his tweet said “Today in COVID19 test among 710 civilians & BSF officials of 138th-Bn, Dhalai Dist, 1 BSF official found COVID-19 POSITIVE. All COVID-19 patients are under proper medication, team of expert Doctors are taking care of them. I pray for their speedy recovery”.
