Despite challenges of COVID-19 and BSF troops having tested positive, there is no letup in border domination and prevention of trans-border crimes.
While keeping norms of COVID-19 in mind, troops are conducting Operations for neutralizing nefarious designs of Trans-border Smugglers on the International Border.
In series of such Operations, on 12 May 2020, vigilant BSF troops succeeded in seizing 1,800 Nos Yaba Tablets and Ganja 04 Kgs having total market value of Rs. 9,20,000/-.
Acting on a specific intelligence input, BSF troops of Border Out Post Kalshimura under PS Kalamchera, District Sepahijala conducted one special operation in the target area, during which BSF party observed suspicious movement of some miscreants in the close proximity of Indo-Bangladesh Border Fence.

On being challenged by BSF troops, the miscreants fled away from the spot taking the advantage of darkness. During thorough search of the area, party recovered above narcotics.
Seized narcotics were handed over to PS Kalamchera for further necessary action.
BSF, in addition to its primary duties of safeguarding the International Border, prevention of trans-border crimes including cross border movement, troops are also committed to repel the impact of COVID-19 by taking all possible proactive measures.
BSF Field Formations are also conducting various outreach programmes to help the local populace residing in remote bordering areas of Tripura and simultaneously extending all-out support to local Civil Administrations in the fight against this global pandemic.
