India recorded highest single-day spike on Friday with over 6,000 coronavirus cases and 148 deaths in last 24 hours. India’s Covid-19 tally, meanwhile, reached 1,18,447 on Friday morning.
The death toll from the virus touched 3,583. As many as 150 coronavirus patients succumbed to death in last 24 hours. Maharashtra confirmed 64 deaths on Thursday one of the highest in single-day tolls in the state since the outbreak.

India has recorded 6,088 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours – the biggest single-day jump in numbers – Health Ministry data showed this morning, with 150 deaths reported in the same period.

This takes the total number of cases to 1.18 lakhs and total deaths to 3,583. The number of people who have recovered after contracting the virus has risen to 48,533
Tripura on Thursday registered Two more COVID19 positive cases.
Two persons detected POSITIVE, One person at Churaibari Gate & another person was in contact with the previous POSITIVE patients who returned from Chennai.
On Thursday, a total of 847 samples were tested for COVID19, out of which results of two sample were found positive.
Confirming about the new cases registered in the state, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb tweeted “847 samples have been tested today for COVID-19 & among them, 2 persons detected POSITIVE. One person at Churaibari Gate & another person was in contact with the previous POSITIVE patients who returned from Chennai”.
