All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) is all set to open its first centre of the North East in Tripura soon.
The council of ministers led by Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has on Wednesday approved land for setting up of the regional centre of All India Institute of Speech and Hearing at free of cost, Education minister Ratanlal Nath said this at a press conference.
The institute will not only introduce Degree/ Diploma courses, but also provide treatment to the deaf and dumb apart from carrying out research works,” Nath told the Media.
“Although the AIISH sought for 20 acre land but we could arrange a 12 acre land worth Rs. 45 lakh at Mohanpur Mouja. The proposal has been approved by the cabinet today,” he said.
