The total number of coronavirus patients in India rose to 198,706.
India once again recorded over 8,000 new cases of Covid-19 in 24 hours for the third day in a row, taking the tally to over 1.98 lakh, while the death toll rose to 5,598 with 204 fatalities in 24 hours.
As several restrictions were eased in the fifth phase of the lockdown that began on Monday life returned to near normal in many parts of the country.
Several states also began allowing various activities that have been restricted since March 25, the day when the nationwide lockdown came into effect after the centre allowed lifting of restrictions on inter-state movement of people.
102 more persons have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has said.
All of them have travel history.
In the morning on Monday, Chief Minister Deb informed about the detection of 5 new COVID19 positive cases in Tripura.
On Sunday also, Tripura has registered 45 new positive cases.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in his tweet said ” 102 people found COVID-19 POSITIVE today in Tripura Out of 578 samples tested. All of them have travel history. As the numbers are rising, I urge everyone to stay extra concious, follow the Govt instructions and co-operate with us”.
