The nation added 28,701 cases in just 24 hours to take the total tally to near 8.8 lakh, according to the Health Ministry’s 8 a.m. update on July 13. Of these, more than 5.5 lakh have been cured or discharged. It now has over 3 lakh active cases. India has added 1.42 lakh cases in the last five days.
India has so far recorded 8,78,254 cases, which includes 23,174 deaths. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Gujarat have reported the highest number of cases. However, the recovery rate is rising and now stands at 63 percent
India’s Covid-19 caseload has crossed the 8.5 lakh mark. The rapid spread of the pandemic has seen the country’s share in daily global cases rise to 12%.
India’s recovery rate is on the rise and is currently above 62 per cent.
