Coronavirus Cases In India Cross 10 Lakh

Data furnished by the Union Ministry of Health suggested that 34,956 cases were reported in India in the past 24 hours, taking the total tally of cases in India to 10,03,832. Of these, 3,42,473 are active cases while 6,35,757 people have been discharged after recovery. 

The government data put total cases recorded since the outbreak began in the country at 1,003,832 with 25,602 deaths. Over 6.35 lakh people or 63.34 per cent of the patients have recovered. With the cases surging, lockdowns are being re-imposed in several parts of the country after the easing of restrictions easing in recent weeks as officials hoped the outbreak was under control. 

India’s coronavirus tally has exceeded 10 lakh after nearly 35,000 cases were repaired from different parts of the country in the past 24 hours. The country has also reported 687 deaths — the highest single-day death rate reported even since the pandemic began.

The country’s death toll from the deadly virus has also crossed 25,000.
