Country records more that 50,000 cases for sixth consecutive day
India’s COVID-19 tally reached 18,55,475 today, with 52,050 cases being reported in a day. Recoveries rose to 12,30,509, including 44,306 in past 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry data. There are 5,86,298 active cases of coronavirus infection in the country presently while the recovery rate among COVID-19 patients has gone up to 65.76%.
India has recorded 52,020 cases in 24 hours for a 6th straight day, taking its tally to 1,856,754. After conducting over 20 million tests, India’s positivity rate is now at over 8%. India’s death toll stands at 38,969.
This is the sixth consecutive day that COVID-19 cases have increased by more than 50,000.
The total coronavirus cases in India have surged to 1,855,745 while the death toll has climbed to 38,938, as per the data released by the Health ministry. Worldwide, the pandemic has now taken nearly 7 lakh lives, with 18 million confirmed cases.
