Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda said Monday that the implementation of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic and the law will be implemented soon. JP Nadda said the party is committed to the execution of the CAA.
Addressing party workers at a meeting in West Bengal, JP Nadda said, “As far as the CAA is concerned, it has already been passed in parliament. All of you will get the benefits of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act. We are committed to it,” adding that its implementation got delayed due to the coronavirus.
