Joint Movement Committee has started a strike for indefinite period

Maharaj Pradyut Kishore Manikya today met with Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb for discussion on the matter of re settlement of BRU refugees.

On the other hand, Joint Movement Comittee has started a strike for indefinite period in Kanchanpur as their demands were not fulfilled.

Among their demands notable was the demand of not allowing permanent settlement of more than 500 families of Bru refugees from mizoram.

The joint movement comittee has informed that if their demands are not met the strike will be continued indefinitely.
