BSF – BGB BORDER CO-ORDINATION CONFERENCE CONCLUDES
Inspectors General BSF – Region Commanders BGB level Border Co-ordination Conference from 25 – 27 Nov 2020 concluded today at 1030 hrs 27th Nov 2020 with signing of Joint Record of Discussion (JRD) document at Frontier Headquarter BSF Tripura, Salbagan, Agartala.
During the conference, various bilateral border issues like trans-border crimes including smuggling of drugs and other narcotic substances, Border violation and their preventive measures, pending developmental works by BSF as well as by local civil administration, construction of Single Row Fence along Indo-Bangladesh International Boundary and Co-ordinated Border Management Plan (CBMP) were discussed at length. Leaders of both the delegations agreed to initiate preemptive measures in creating an environment of peace and tranquillity along the International border by amicably resolving all the pending issues and further strengthening the bond of friendship, trust and co-operation.
The head of BGB delegation Khondoker Farid Hassan, BGBM, PBGM (BAR), ndc, Additional Director General, Region Commander, South-East Region, Chattogram conveyed his warm gratitude for a great welcome as well as wonderful stay of the Bangladesh delegation at Agartala, during the period of conference. He also conveyed his whole hearted gratitude to the authorities of Tripura State for declaring BGB delegation as ‘State Guest’.
The head of BSF delegation Sh. Susanta Kumar Nath, IPS, Inspector General, BSF Tripura Frontier also highlighted sincere commitment of both the Border Guarding Forces to maintain peace and harmony along the International Border and in strengthening the already robust friendly relations.
During the stay of Bangladesh delegation at Agartala, leader of both the delegation also called on H.E Shri Ramesh Bais, Hon’ble Governor of State of Tripura.
