Jitendra Choudhury unhappy over ADC Election date on Easter Sunday

CPI(M) leader and former MP Jitendra Choudhury unhappy over ADC Election date on Easter Sunday.

In his Facebook post he wrote “India is a secular country, we respect all the faiths with equal dignity. 4th April is Easter Sunday, a very special day of the Christians. State Election Commission should not have chosen the date for ADC polling”.

The Tripura State Election Commissioner Manik Lal Dey on Tuesday said elections for the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) would take place on April 4.

Addressing a Press conference Tripura State Election Commissioner Manik Lal Dey said that the voting will be done on April 4. Counting of votes will be on 8th April, 2021.
