PM Modi rules out nationwide lockdown against Covid-19

In his address to the nation on the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the nation has fought against the coronavirus pandemic with discipline and patience and must continue to do so. 

In his address to the nation, the Prime Minister said states must allay the concerns of migrant workers by assuring them that their jobs will remain with them. PM Modi also asked the states to inform them that they will be vaccinated in the next few days. His address to the nation came just hours after the Prime Minister held a meeting with vaccine manufacturers via video conference and asked them to scale up production capacity to vaccinate all citizens in the shortest possible time.

Lockdown should be last resort, focus on micro-containment zones: PM Modi
