Lockdown In Bengal For 2 Weeks From Tomorrow
The West Bengal government on Saturday (May 15) announced a 14-day lockdown commencing from Sunday (May 16).
A new slew of measures will be implemented in order to curb the transmission of COVID-19, including restricting people’s movement.
The West Bengal government has announced a 15-day complete lockdown from May 16 amid rising COVID-19 cases. The coronavirus-enforced lockdown will continue till May 30.
“We are taking some strict measures to contain the pandemic, starting Sunday 6 am till 6 pm of May 30,” Chief Secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay said on May 15.
All government and private offices, shopping complexes, malls, bars, sports complexes, pubs and beauty parlours will remain closed.
