Tripura govt extends COVID-19 curfew till June 5

The Tripura government announced extension of curfew till June 5 to curb the spread of the COVID-19.

The situation has been reviewed in detail by the State Government and it is felt necessary to extend Corona curfew / Corona night curfew with more restrictions in AMC, other ULBS and rural areas of the State in order to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

He also said that the decision was taken in the state cabinet meeting on Tuesday in view of the worsening COVID-19 situation in the state.  

However, all essential services will be exempted from the restriction and shops will open from 6AM to 12PM only. 

Imposition of Corona day curfew w.e.f. 5 AM of 26th May,2021 upto 4 PM of 5th June,2021 in the jurisdiction of Agartala Municipal Corporation and in all other Urban Local Bodies.

Corona day curfew outside AMC and ULBS areas of the State from 5 AM of 27th May,2021 upto 4 PM of 5th June,2021.

Corona night curfew (from 4 PM to 5 AM) in all areas of the State w.e.f 4 PM of 26th May,2021 to upto 5 AM of 6th June,2021.

Inter district movement of vehicles and people will remain banned till 4 PM of 5th June, 2021 except for exemption indicated in order of even no. dated 19th May, 2021.

All stand alone shops and commercial establishments dealing with essential items like groceries, vegetables, milk, meat/fish, animal feed/fodder etc shall remain open only from 6 AM to 12 noon. All other shops & commercial establishments will remain closed at all times. Shop owners will ensure social distancing, wearing of masks.
