Alok Kumar takes charge as the Chief Secretary today
Agartala, 7 June: Alok Kumar takes over as new Tripura Chief Secretary of Tripura.
The Tripura government on Tuesday appointed senior IAS officer Alok Kumar as the new Chief Secretary.
Alok Kumar, IAS (TR: 1990), presently posted as Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat (SR), Govt. of India is appointed as the Chief Secretary, Government of Tripura, with effect from the date he assumes the charge and until further orders.
Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in his tweet said “Shri Kumar Alok ji takes charge as the Chief Secretary today. He will wholeheartedly work with the team to make Tripura model state and fulfil the dream of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji. I congratulate him on assuming charge. All the best”.
Alok Kumar Succeeds Manoj Kumar, IAS, who is transferred and posted as the Special Chief Resident Commissioner, Tripura Bhawan, New Delhi with immediate effect and until further orders. He is also declared as Head of the Department, Tripura Bhawan, New Delhi, in addition.
