Tripura Congress President Pijush Biswas resigned from President of Tripura Pradesh Congress
Tripura Congress President Pijush Biswas resigned from President of Tripura Pradesh Congress.
Pijush Kanti Biswas in his statement said “With sincere gratitude I thank all Congress Leaders, supporters for your cooperation during my tenure as TPCC President (acting). Today I have resigned from the post of President and retired from politics as well. My sincere gratitude towards Hon’ble Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Shri Rahul Gandhiji for their support. I am returning to my profession. Jai Hind”
Indications of a sudden new equation in state politics.
He has send his resignation letter to Congress President Sonia Gandhi today.
The appointment of Tripura Congress President Pijush Kanti Biswas comes after Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarman resigned as president of Tripura Congress some time ago over his plea for implementation of NRC in the state and refusing to “compromise” with other Congress leaders.
Biswas has been the president of the party state unit since December 2019.
