Miscreants target Communist Party of India (Marxist) offices in Tripura
The violence was reported at Udaipur in Gomati district, Bishalgarh in Sepahijala district and Melarmath areas of West Tripura district, where the Communist party’s state headquarter and other Party offices were attacked by hooligons.
Two CPM party offices and nearly six vehicles were set on fire while offices were ransacked at Bishalgarh in Sepahijala district, Udaipur in Gomati district and in Agartala, Capital of Tripura.
The hooligans also attacked the office of Pratibadi Kalam and ransacked the building.
A vehicle of Pratibadi Kalam was also vandalised and motorbikes of journalists were burnt.
Many media organisations and senior Journalists and editors, including Agartala Press Club Secretary Pranab Sarkar, visited the Pratibadi Kalam office and condemned the attack.
They demanded the immediate arrest of those involved in the attack.
