Sports create opportunities for physical well-being as well as earning.
Opportunities for gymnastics and other sports are being expanded in the state through the development of sports infrastructure.
This was stated by Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb while inaugurating a synthetic football turf at Chandrapur in Gomati district on wednesday.
This is the first international standard football turf in the state.
While inaugurating the synthetic football turf at Chandrapur (Udaipur), Tripura, on 22 Sept 2021 Chief Minister, Shri BiplabKumarDeb given assurance to the youth of Tripura to work for sport’s infrastructure development and promotion in the state.
He also conveyed his confidence on the representation of more players from Tripura in National Team in near future.
A friendly football match between Gomati district and South Tripura district was held on Wednesday.
Earlier, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb inaugurated the newly constructed two-storey Kakraban Bazar Shed.
The construction of this market shed has cost 1 crore 97 lakh 60 thousand 375 rupees.
Speaking at the inaugural function of the Synthetic Football Turf, the Chief Minister said the state government was working on the basis of creating a conducive environment for sports and expanding suitable opportunities for emerging players in sports.
A total of Rs 5 crore has been spent to make this construction of Synthetic Football Turf at Chandrapur in Gomati district on wednesday.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Agriculture Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Youth Affairs & Sports Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, MLA Biplab Kumar Ghosh ,TCA sec. Dr Manik saha, local leaders, officials were present there.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in his tweet said “Inaugurated synthetic football turf at Chandrapur, Udaipur today. As promised to the youth of #Tripura, our government is committed to promoting sports in the state. I am sure we will see more players from Tripura joining our national team in near future”.
