The government is committed to make Tripura a drug-free State. The government is working to make the state drug free. The drug trade will not be compromised in any way. This was stated by Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in response to a question raised by MLA Shankar Roy in the Assembly on Monday.
The Chief Minister said the mentality of the government in controlling drugs is clear.
The present government has taken various steps to make the state drug free. Strict action has been taken against those involved in this transaction.
Already there have been many successes, including police operations, including the recovery of various drugs.
In this case, the Chief Minister hoped for the cooperation of the MLAs and the general public in the public awareness, including keeping a watchful eye on the activities of drug addicts in their respective areas.
The Chief Minister said at the NEC meeting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had called for drug-free North East by 2022.
Tripura is also working towards this goal. The Chief Ministers of the North East are also working on this issue on a serious basis.
Apart from that, women are also playing a significant role against drug addicts in various fields. The Chief Minister hoped for full cooperation of all to build a drug-free Tripura.
