ICA Minister Sushanta Chowdhury chairs a review meeting of ICA Department
The Department of Information and Culture needs to be more proactive in promoting the traditional ancient culture of the state at the international level.
There is a need to take specific plans for the preservation and expansion of the endangered culture of the state. This was stated by Information and Culture Minister Sushant Chowdhury at a review meeting of the Information and Culture Department at the conference hall of the Secretariat on Tuesday.
He said the state’s cultural exchange program with the inter-state and Bangladesh should be enhanced.
He said it would further enrich the culture of the state. Besides, the Department of Information and Culture has to take initiative to organize cultural programs in the districts and sub-divisions of the state.
This will strengthen the bond of harmony in the state as well as also create a cultural atmosphere.
At the review meeting, the Minister of Information and Culture emphasized on organizing international quality film festivals and large-scale cultural festivals in the state. He also emphasized on building a film institute in the state. He said the department should focus on increasing the scope and scope of the practice of industrial culture in the state.
