Dr. Munjapara Mahendrabhai, MoS, visited Regional Ayurveda Research Center, Agartala
Dr. Munjapara Mahendrabhai, Minister of State (MoS), Ministry of AYUSH and Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India has visited at Regional Ayurveda Research Center, Agartala, Tripura on 29th September 2021at 12:30 p.m. during 2 days visit in Tripura from 29th & 30th September 2021.
The minister has visited the center and observed the different research activities and services at OPD level. The interactive session was inaguarated by lightening of auspicious lamp and worshiped of Lord Dhanvantari, the God of Ayurveda by the Honourable Minister.
The Dhanvantari vandana was sang by Dr. Niral Sojeetra, Reserach Officer (Ayurveda) of this Institute and her team. After felicitation of Honorable Minister and other guests, welcome address given by Dr. Rohit Kumar Ravte, Research Officer In-charge, RARC, Agartala. He has mentioned that the center was established on 7th MArch 2019 with the view to serve the people of Tripura as one center of 31 centers under Central Council for Research In Ayurvedic Sciences ( CCRAS), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India and 5th centre in North-East region to promote research activities on Ayurevda.
The centre has provided general OPD service with free consulatation and medicines, implementing different activities like celebration of Poshan Maah, distribution of Ayurveda prophylatic medicines for COVID19, implementing Tribal Health Care Research project under TSP with a view to serve the ttribal inhabitants of the state through mobile van and incorporating clinical trials under IMR scheme.
RARC, Agatala is also implementing North East Health Care Programme at Khowai, Gomati, West Tripura and South Tripura districts as the extended OPD services, documentation of health status through epidiomiological survey and intervention with Ayurvedic medicines and guidelines on diet and lifestyles modification.
Dr. Munjapara Mahendrabhai, Minister of State (MoS), Ministry of AYUSH and Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India has mentioend the importance of Ayurvedic medicines for health care, particularly emphsised on the treatment of malaria, anaemia, osteoarthritis etc. Importance of medicinal plantation and distribution of spalings of medicinal plants under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahatsav@75 also specially mentioned by the Honorable Minister.
He has distrubuted few medicinal plants like Tulsi, Gulancha, Ghritkumari, Vasaka, Pippali etc. among the beneficaries. He has assured his all round support and cooperation for the development of the centre for the people of Tripura.
Minister has also distributed Ayurveda prophylactics medicines like Samsamani Vati, Guduchighan Vati, Aswagandha Choorna, Ayush Rakshma Kit to combat COVID19 among the senior citizens under the campaiging of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahatsav@75. Dr. Sunanda Bhattacharyya, Branch Officer, National AYUSH Mission, Government of Tripura, Dr. Subash Kaushik, Senior Scientist, CCRH; Dr. Saibal Pandit, Branch Officer, Directorate of Health Services, Government of Tripura; Dr. Subrata Deb, Branch Officer, National AYUSH Mission, Government of Tripura; Dr. Achintya Mitra, R.O.( Ay.), CARI, Kolkata have enlightened this occassion with their gracious presence.
The programme ended with vote of thank by Dr. Niral Sojeetra, Reserach Officer ( Ayurveda) followed by National Anthem.
