Mamata Banerjee to Visit Tripura in Dec, Says Abhishek

West Bengal chief minister and Trinamul Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee, who visited Goa last week for upcoming state elections, will visit another poll-bound state, Tripura, in December to expand her party’s network there to challenge the BJP.

This was announced by her MP nephew Abhishek Banerjee on Sunday at a TMC rally in Agartala.

He said: “Ms Banerjee will come here in December this year. She will also address a rally at Astabal Ground in agartala. The BJP virus has only one vaccine. Its name is Mamata Banerjee,” said her nephew and Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee. Yesterday we won in court. Now we will also win the vote. I will camp here for a year upto February in 2023 to ensure the end of the BJP’s rule.”

Former BJP leader from Tripura Ashish Das, who had recently left BJP, joins TMC in the presence of party’s General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee in Agartala.

Das has been vociferously dissenting against Tripura CM Biplab Deb and his leadership in the state over the past couple of months.

As an MLA, Das failed miserably to make any difference in his Assembly constituency Surma, after the BJP came to power in 2018.
