ATF tax has been reduced from 16% to 1%: Cabinet Decision
A revolutionary step on tax reduction has been taken by the State government today after a unanimous cabinet decision.
The Information and Cultural Affairs Minister, Sushanta Chowdhury has officially shared this information with the media while addressing the press meet at secretariat.
He said in his statement that the current tax rate on ATF i.e, Aviation Turbine Fuel is 16%. Now, it has been set up to 1%.
“This would definitely facilitate the aviation sector. More new flights will now show their interest to operate from Agartala to other states and abroad because our new terminal is all set to be inaugurated.
It is now just a matter of time. Also, this tax reduction will help the aviation companies to run their businesses in profit.
Moreover, it will encourage more passengers to choose the air service as a mode of transportation and would holistically uplift the aero infrastructure of our state”, said Mr. Chowdhury in the meet.
Adding to this reference, he also gave an update on the present corona situation of the state as well as every district in particular.
He said the corona situation is completely stable in the state. The graph is downwards. Nothing to worry.
Until now, total 43, 58,351 vaccine doses have been administered among people across the state.
