Indo-Bangladesh Paryatan Utsav to start from Feb 9

In these passed years, India and Bangladesh has crossed several milestones in maintaining brotherly and neighbourly bonding all together in a same row.

Celebrating this glorious relationship between two states, an international level cultural cum tourist festival plan has been undertaken by the state authorities. For the next 9 to 11 February, “Indo-Bangladesh Tourism Festival 2022” would be organised in the city on the royal yard of Ujjayanta Palace.

The decision was taken on Tuesday at a preparatory meeting chaired by Tourism Minister Pranajit Singharay in the state guest house. The Bangladesh High Commissioner, The New AMC Mayor, The DM West along with other dignitaries were present at the meeting. In these 3 day event, folks from both the country including tourists, artists, poets, public leaders, bureaucrats, tourist guides, hotel owners and tour operators would take part.

Also, hotel owners and tour operators from the nearby North Eastern States would also requested for their kind participation.

On 9th of February, a mega cultural event is scheduled inside the royal palace’s territory. On the same day, a Traditional Food Festival would also be organised before the main entrance gate of the Palace. On 10th of February, a mega trip and tour would be organised by the department specially for the guests and people from that side Bangla which has been planned to commemorate the glorious past of 1971 Mukti Yuddha.

On the final day, a big inter-state rally would be out for glorifying and portraying the past legacy of 1971 war where people, artists, poets and laureates, public servants and leaders from both the country would join.

The state tourism department is hopeful about the grand success of this 3 day international fiesta where Minister Singha Roy expressed his intuition in gaining tourism mileage for Tripura especially and overall strengthening the ties and mutual cooperations among two states.
