Review meeting regarding implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission

On Friday, a high level departmental meeting has been called out by the DWS ministry of the state at the office of Dy.CM, Secretariat.

The meeting’s main agenda was to revise and reconsider following plans and policies that were being discussed on 7th of this month regarding water connectivity and supply across the state.

Under the supervision of the Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarma and Sushanta Chowdhury, the minister of that department the meeting reached to the end.

The chief engineer of the DWS department Rajiv Debbarma said during the meeting that total 181 water supply projects are ready in the state to be operational soon.

Moreover, 288 water supply storage projects are in the processing to be launched by the end of this December said the Chief DWS Engineer in meeting.

He also said that for an effective implementation of these projects total 167 transformers have been borrowed recently from the Power Department and more 18 would be borrowed in the near future. “In 2018, it was 3% implemented in the state. But in today’s date it all has covered 38% across the state” said Mr. Debbarma in his technical speech.

The DWS Minister also has shown his trust and satisfaction over the Department and better urged to ensure the utmost success of this scheme in every household of this state.

The Power Minister, Jishnu Debbarma has also showed his authoritarian consent on the fast scheme implementation and progress of departmental works where he ensured his department’s full support and cooperation in this “Jal Dhaara Mission”.
