Assistance to 321 ST students under One-time Financial Support scheme

With the initiative of Tribal Welfare department under One-time Financial Support scheme, financial assistance of 50 thousand rupees for one year training was provided this year to 168 ST boys and 153 ST girls from eight districts of the state to encourage them to pursue higher education or professional education.

These students will be provided with another financial assistance of 50 thousand rupees after completion of six months.

Among them, 33 boys and 32 girls are from West Tripura distnet, 2 boys and 9 girls are from Unakon district, 33 hoys and 24 girls are from South Tripura disteet, 24 boys and 18 girls are from Sepahijala district, 9 boys and 8 girls are from North Tripura district, 22 boys and 15 girls are from Khowa district, 28 boys and 27 girls are from Gomati district, and 17 boys and 20 girls are from Dhalal district.

This was informed by Tribal Welfare department.
