PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate Tripura airport’s new terminal on January 4

The wait is finally over. The newly made “Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport” is all set to be inaugurated on next year’s January 4 by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

The news has been shared on last Saturday by the Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb himself while giving his statement to the media.

The Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Jyotiradiya Scindia and other officials of Airports Authority of India (AAI) would also be a part of this event.

The New Integrated Terminal Building (NITB) has been built at a cost of Rs 3,400 crore. The NIBT, with 20 check-in counters, will be able to handle 1,200 passengers, including international fliers, in a day, officials said.

He said after the inauguration event of NIBT; a short public meet cum address event of the PM has been scheduled on the same day focusing a particular public rally.
