Dimapur Ministry of Culture, Government of India and Department of Information & Cultural Affairs, Government of Tripura at Agnibina Hall, Jirania on December 28. He said, there are still some negative forces in the country who try to divide the country in the name of community and religion We have to maintain unity among us and defeat such negative forces.
Culture can take a huge role in this matter. The more cultural exchange is done, the more such malicious intensions will fail. He said, in order to bind the country together, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called out for organising such kind of programme.
The Minister also said, we have to come out of the mentality of not having time to think for others. We have been hearing the saying “Unity in diversity and we have to believe in that and move ahead. We must adopt only which is good for the country and this shall be our goal and our responsibility.
Vice-Chairman of Jirania Panchayat Samiti Pritam Debnath as special guest and member of NEZCC Subrata Chakraborty as guest of honour also delivered their speech on that day. Other dignitaries present in the programme were Chairman of Ranir Bazar Municipal Council Apama Shukla Das, Chairman of Jirania Nagar Panchayat Ratan Kumar Das, Member of West Tripura Cultural Advisory Committee Partha Sarathi Saha and social worker Gouranga Bhowmik.
Artistes from Assam, Manipur, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura performed in the cultural programme on that day.
