Train service between Tripura and Manipur flagged off by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today attended the launch of 12097/Agartala – Jiribam Jan Shatabdi Express by Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw.

This train will connect Agartala, Tripura to Jiribam, Manipur and will cover the distance in just six hours.

Northeast Frontier Railway today introduced the Jana Shatabdi Express from Agartala today.

The northeastern state of Manipur will now be connected to Tripura through passenger train service.

The Janshatabdi Express will cover the distance from Agartala to Jiribam in just six hours.

In his tweet Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb “Launch of this train is a step ahead in fulfilling Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of making North East the AshtaLakshami of the country’s economy.
Connecting North Eastern states with rail routes will open new avenues of economic activities in the region”.

One of the fastest & passenger friendly train Jan Shatabdi Express will connect Agartala, Tripura to Jiribam, Manipur covering the distance in just six hours.
