Police plays a vital role in building Tripura into a progressive & prosperous state: CM
A well-planned goal must be set for a year on priority basis starting from Police Week programme to the next Police Week programme for its successful implementation. Everyone must take up the responsibility to keep the youth away from addiction, enunciated Chieft Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in the Police Week programme at Manoranjan Debbanna Memorial Police Ground, AD Nagar. The Chief Minister observed the parde and received Guard of Honour in the programme. Then he visited blood donation campaign and inaugurated the photo gallery of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and Motorcycle rally. The Chief Minister felicitated Tripura Police personnel for their exemplary contribution in different fields in 2021. He also interacted with Police and TSR personnel who have rode on motorbikes to Gujarat on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas with the message of unity and peace.
The Chief Minister said, the police plays a vital role in building Tripura into a progressive and prosperous state. The state government is working in building Tripura the first state to become a drug-free state and the government will make no compromise with that. The youth are getting effected by HIV because of taking drugs in unprotected way.
Everyone including the guardians have to keep vigil in this case. Taking drugs also results to stealing, snatching, crime against women and other crimes. Those involved in drug dealing will not be spared at any cost.
He urged everyone not to surrender to any kind of illegal ways. or pressure and contribute 1 rooting out the usage of drugs from the state completely.
The Chief Minister further said, the recruitment process of about 3 thousand 400 for Police, TSR, SP and women police is currently going on. Women have been given deserving chance through transparent recruitment.
The Chief Minister lauded Tripura Police for their contribution starting from eliminating terrorism to setting positive example through different works and asked them to continue that.
Director General of Police V.S Yadav in the programme said, Tripura Police is working on controlling crime against women, accidents successfully. Modernisation has been brought to police and traffic system. Digitization in various aspects including e-Challan has been included into the system.
The Police is working responsibly and strictly against addiction. Special operational team has been formed in the TSR. Toll free numbers including CM helpline are playing important roles in providing police assistance. Tripur police is not only doing its duty but also involves itself in social services. He assured that works are undergoing setting blueprint for the upcoming days. ADG Puneet Rastogi, other police officials and their families were also present in the programme.
