3 member TMC delegation in Agartala, says “Khela Suru Hoye Geche”

West Bengal education minister Bratya Basu, Rajya Sabha MP Hritabrata Banerjee and law minister Moloy Ghatak arrived at Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport in Agartala on Wednesday.

A 23-member team of poll strategist Prashant Kishor’s Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) has been let off its ‘house arrest’, hours after it was allegedly held inside a hotel by the Tripura police.

The team was in the state doing groundwork for the Trinamool Congress (TMC) ahead of the 2023 state Assembly elections.

The delegation, including West Bengal education minister Bratya Basu, Rajya Sabha MP Hritabrata Banerjee and law minister Moloy Ghatak arrived at Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport in Agartala on Wednesday.

Addressing Media at Agartala Press Club West Bengal Education Minister Bratya Basu said “In West Bengal, a number of BJP sponsored survey teams were pressed into action before the 2021 assembly elections. There were no instances where West Bengal police had tried to hack them”, He had termed the incident as an example of “Fascist” and “Autocratic” action.

Speaking with reporters, he also said the delegation is in Agartala to take stock of the prevailing situation.
