3years of NEP 2020; Innovative initiatives of DEE to celebrate

Keeping in mind of the 3rd Anniversary of NEP 2020 , Directorate of Elementary Education has taken a special programme in which sharing of experiences will take place between Private Schools and Govt. Schools of Tripura. Eight Schools will be involved in which teachers of Govt. School will take classes in Pvt. School and vice versa. Both the parties will observe the way NEP is implemented in the wake of Pre-primary Classes and Class I . NIPUN implementation in both Govt. and Pvt. Schools will be observed by the Teachers and they will give a report after completion of the entire process of twinning of Schools.

In this regard a meeting took place in the Directorate on 25.07.2023, in which Principals of Govt. Schools and Pvt. Schools chalked out a plan. The meeting was presided over by Director Elementary Education Sri Subhasis Bandopadhyay in presence of concerned OSD Abhijit Samajpati. TEA member Mrigank Mukharjee was also attended the meeting and shared his ideas. A platform for Sharing of Experience between teachers of Govt. Schools and Private Schools in real Class room scenario, keeping in wake of implementation of NEP 2020 is something new that the Department is going to organize.

The twinning programme will start from 31st July between Old Agartala English Medium School and Montfort School, Dukli and end on 25th August between Bharatiya Vidyabhawan and Umakanta English Medium School.

The participating Schools are Shishu Bihar HS School, Umakanta Academy English Medium School, Khudiram Basu English Medium School, Old Agartala English Medium School, Auxilium Girls’ School , Bharatiya Vidyabhawan, Sri Krishna Mission School and Montfort School.

NIPUN Cell of DEE is also going to organise a TLM Exhibition in which 160 selected low cost TLMs for FLN grades will be displayed through a state level exhibition. All teachers of Govt, Govt. aided and Pvt. Schools, BRPs and CRPs can participate in the competition first at District level where from the best 20 TLMs (10 on Numeracy and 10 on Literacy) from each District will participate in State level Exhibition.

This sort of programme is also being organised for the first time in the State. It is to be mentioned that NIPUN Cell of DEE under the leadership of Branch officer Abhijit Samajpati has taken series of innovative steps for implementation of NIPUN in proper way.
